Looking To Get Back On Track

15 August 2013

New signing Theo Robinson told Rovers Player that he was looking to use the move to Doncaster as a chance to get his career back on track.

Theo, who signed a two-year deal earlier today, admitted that the past season was a frustrating one and that he was really excited to have signed for Paul Dickov’s team.

“I feel very excited to be here,” said Robinson

“The manager was keen to sign me and as a player it’s nice when the manager backs you and wants to sign you so I was more than happy to come in.

“I’ve played in Doncaster before; I scored here a couple of years ago so I already knew what it was like here. I have also been told, by players that have been here previously, that it is a good club – it’s a great opportunity for me.

“Since I got here today everybody has been really welcoming and friendly which has made me really feel at home.

“It was a tough first training session but it was good to get to know all the lads and how they play.

“I enjoyed the session and hopefully tomorrow we can take what we have practiced into the game.”

Theo will be available for selection against Blackburn following the completion of the relevant paperwork before the 12 deadline on Thursday.
