Manager Paul Dickov told Rovers Player that his players will have to be at their best on Saturday if they are to come away from the Valley with the points.
“I saw them play at Barnsley last weekend, coming from two goals down away from home to secure a point shows you the character that Chris Powell has got at the club,” said Dickov
“It will be a different test from Wigan, but it will be a test we are going to have to be at our best.
“It’s going to have to be a similar performance as the last two. We have to keep our standards high because it’s an away game in the Championship against a good team and a good manager - if you’re not at it you get found out.
“Every game in the Championship is difficult and every game is going to be a test away from home so we’ve got to make sure the boys recover properly from the other night.
“We’ve got a long journey down so we’ve got to look after them and make sure come 3 o’clock on Saturday they are ready to go.”
Paul also spoke about the job his opposite number has done at Charlton.
“Chris [Powell] is a top manager and he’s done a fantastic job there.
“It’s his first managerial job and he got them promoted at the first time of asking even with the financial constraints he was under. Last season he kept them up comfortably so he deserves a lot of credit for the job he has done.”
