Manager Paul Dickov told Rovers Player that he wants his side to take the opportunities that they are creating.
Performance levels have been good for Dickov’s men, however, chance conversion rates must improve according to the gaffer.
“What we have to do when we get the opportunities is to take our chances,” he said.
“We want to play football, and I think the fans appreciated how we want to play, but we want to win as well.
“By adopting the right philosophy and the right work rate without the ball will help us to play the way we want to play.”
Dickov highlighted the importance of recording a first competitive victory, and is now looking for a good draw in the next round of the competition.
“It was really important for the team and for us as staff to get that first win at home, because cup runs can do wonders for a club. We’re in the hat, so let’s see if we can get a good draw now.”
