Doncaster Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of Manchester City defender Reece Wabara on an initial one month loan deal.
Wabara, 21, re-unites with Rovers manager Paul Dickov for whom he played whilst on loan at Oldham Athletic last season.
Reece was a part of Oldham’s giant killing FA Cup squad scoring the winning goal in the 3-2 victory over Liverpool FC.
Reece is an England international having represented the country of his birth at youth level. Reece made his England U20 debut in a 1–0 defeat to France U20 in February 2011. He was then named in Brian Eastick's squad for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Colombia in the summer of 2011.
Comfortable in both full-back positions as well as in the centre of defence, Wabara boasts flexibility which will allow Paul to utilise his qualities in a variety of positions.
Reece will be available for selection for the game against Rochdale, this evening, in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
Reece will wear the number 32 shirt during his time in Doncaster.
Tickets for the game are still available and can be purchased from the Keepmoat Stadium Ticket Office or by calling the Ticket Hotline on 01302 762576.
Alternatively, cash gates will be in operation for this evening's fixture; these will be turnstiles 14, 15 and 16 in the Polypipe (south) Stand.
