Paul Dickov Spoke to Rovers Player about Tuesday nights game and Cotterill's thunderbolt of a goal.
Paul said "David scored a great goal at Birmingham that we all know he is capable of. David is a player I have a lot of time for and speak to regularly and the one thing I want to do is get the best out of David Cotterill because there are not many players in this division, who can score that type of goal.
“He works ever so hard on his finishing, probably a bit too hard because he is a deep thinker of the game. Sometimes you have to take that away and get him to express himself because a David Cotterill playing with freedom will win you games.
“At the start of the season David was playing more defensively for the side but we want the creative side to be more dominant. He works hard in training on his finishing, so it was pleasing for everybody here and the fans to see him get that goal we all know he is capable of, which has not gone in for him until now.”
