Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player about this weekend's Yorkshire Derby against Leeds United.
"It’s a fantastic game for us and we are looking to come back after a defeat last week. We want to go out and play as we have done against sides such as Leicester, QPR and Forest this season by taking the game to them.
"I try and am as honest as I can be after games, as I do with the players straight after games. The players knew that they had not performed as well as they could but this week, I had to instil how well we had played over the last few weeks. We have picked up some big points recently, so I can’t be too critical of them."
“We know every team in this league are going to take defeats like we suffered last week but you have to realise that those eleven players had played five games in two weeks. Freedman at Bolton made five changes but I don’t have that luxury to make that sort of changes so it was probably one game too far last Saturday.
"Having no game midweek this week, we have been able to work on getting them mentally and physically in condition with them now looking forward to a big game down at the Keepmoat.
“These sort of games against the leading pack make the players, staff and fans react to create a fantastic atmosphere which has led to good performances against these sort of sides. We don’t want to sit back against these teams but press them and go for a win. We have proven this season we can do that but we have to be careful we don’t go too ‘gung-ho’ and leave space for them to punish us."
