Dickov: We Showed A Lot Of Character

3 December 2013

Rovers manager Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player after his side's one all draw against Birmingham City at St Andrews.

After the game Paul said; "We were disappointed at half time going in one nil down with the way we performed. We didn't really string enough passes together, we played too many straight balls up to the front men.

"At half time we sat them down, sorted a few things out for the second half. I thought we were much better and got a deserved point. We got the ball down, passed it, we defended really well and showed a lot of character.  That is twice in the space of four days that we have come from a goal down and picked up points."

Speaking about the threat of Birmingham's attack Paul added; "They definitely put you under pressure especially with set pieces and also in general play. I thought both our central defenders were magnificent.

"David's (Cotterill) strike was a fantastic strike, I'm delighted for him. He has had a few pops like that this year, some have gone in the stand, over the bar but he works very hard at it in training. His shooting technically is very good and he will take a lot of confidence from that.

The full interview will be available on Rovers Player.
