Sky Bet Championship Market Movers

23 December 2013

Derby are the big movers in the pulsating chase for the Sky Bet Championship title after recording their seventh successive win.

The Rams are into 11/2 from 8/1 prior to their 3-1 victory over Doncaster at the iPro Stadium which equalled County’s winning  run of 1996.

Steve McClaren has now lost just once since taking over at the start of October and during that time their odds for promotion have been slashed from 12/1 to the current price of 6/4. Their title odds following a 4-4 draw with Ipswich days after McClaren’s appointment were 100/1.

Leicester are also celebrating after throwing the title race wide open with a 1-0 triumph at previous leaders QPR. It saw the Foxes trimmed from 9/2 to 100/30 for the title and they are now odds-on for promotion while Rangers have eased from 5/6 to 11/10.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley are back at the summit following their 2-1 win over Blackpool at Turf Moor but remain fourth favourites for promotion at 15/2, from 9/1 pre-match.

Once again star striker Danny Ings was on the mark and now has 13 Sky Bet Championship goals and is 13/2 to finish top marksman from 7/1.

The other mover in the market is Blackburn’s Jordan Rhodes (7/2) who’s 13th of the season was the winner at Yeovil and is now three behind leader Ross McCormack of Leeds (9/4 fav).

Middlesbrough took advantage of poor results for those near the foot of the table as they won 2-0 at Millwall and are now out to 11/1 to be relegated (from 9/1).
