Manager Brian Flynn has appointed former Welsh International midfielder David Williams as Assistant Manager.
Williams was assistant to Brian Flynn during his time in charge of the Welsh Youth Teams and stepped up to assistant with Brian when he was appointed caretaker manager of the Wales Senior team.
Beginning his playing career at Bristol Rovers, Williams went on to make over 350 appearances for the club between 1975 and 1985.
Williams moved to Norwich City next where he ended his playing career after 74 appearances for the Canaries, before being appointed Assistant Manager of the club in 1988.
Assistant Manager roles at Bournemouth and Everton followed, before Williams was appointed Reserve Team Manager at Leeds United.
After completing a coaching role with the Manchester United Youth set up in 2002, Williams returned to Carrow Road as Assistant Academy Manager. It was during his time with the Canaries that Williams assisted Brian Flynn in the Welsh National set up.
Brian Flynn: “I have worked closely with David for a long time, he was my assistant when I was manager of the Welsh Youth Teams.
“We go back a long way and we complement each other; David has vast experience and knowledge and his coaching techniques are quality.”
