Doncaster Rovers teamed up with Crawley Town on Monday evening as a special birthday treat Rovers supporter Rosamund Lodge
Ros, who celebrated her birthday on Sunday before travelling to the Broadfield Stadium, has a spinal-cord injury which affects her movement meaning that she is no longer able to participate in sport; however she still enjoys watching her home-town club.
Alongside Crawley Town, Rovers made arrangements for Ros to attend the game after she contacted the club about facilities for disabled supporters.
Ros was presented with a signed Rovers ball and signed Crawley Town programme from Rovers Director Stuart Highfield as a special birthday surprise.
Ros said: "I'm a Doncaster fan of course but I will always have a special place in my heart for Crawley. This was a wonderful surprise and my thanks go to both clubs for making it happen and for having an inclusive policy towards all supporters."
Marketing Manager Shaun Lockwood said: “We are delighted to be able to provide Ros with an extra special match day experience. A special thanks to Ryan and his team at Crawley Town for assisting us with this, it’s great when two clubs can work together to create a special memory for a fan.”
