Stadium Celebrates Award Win

14 February 2013

It was cheers all round as the Keepmoat Stadium was awarded a prestigious leisure industry accolade.

The stadium achieved success at the Best Bar None Awards and has scooped the title of the Best Leisure Venue in Doncaster.

The awards focus on the safe and responsible management of licensed premises and the scheme has been adopted by over 95 towns and cities across the UK and is now being taken up in other countries.

Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of Doncaster Rovers, said: "This is great news for the Keepmoat Stadium. We dedicate a great deal of time to making sure that our facilities are second to none and provide the best possible service to our customers.

"Our facilities and staff have once again impressed in Doncaster, and that's testament to the great team of people we have assembled at the stadium.

“We constantly strive to improve our services and as such regularly meet with key stakeholders to ensure that we are operating in the most responsible and effective way.”

The Best Bar None initiative provides an incentive for the operators of licensed premises to improve their standards of operation to the level of a commonly agreed national benchmark. The scheme also provides a much needed opportunity for licensees to demonstrate to official agencies just how well they manage their own businesses.
