A Friend to All

3 January 2013

When Rovers Chairman received a call for help from Coventry City, he had no second thoughts and swung into action.

John had received the call from City whilst they were in the process of re-negotiating their lease for the Ricoh Arena, where they were having well documented problems.

Rovers were approached because of their expertise during the recent negotiations to take over the lease of the Keepmoat Stadium. Chief Executive Gavin Baldwin advised City on the process to gain them a better lease.

John used the media to support City and give them the vital help they required, as he explained:

“They may be the enemy on the pitch but off the pitch we are friends to all and will help other clubs if they seek it.

“It’s all about building relationships; we’ve received a nice letter saying they would never forget how we helped them”

We hope this will help Coventry City and their fans continue watching football, at their home, the Ricoh Arena.
