Defender Andy Griffin has signed a deal which will keep him at Keepmoat Stadium until the end of the season, subject to paperwork.
The former Reading man, who initially signed for Rovers until the January transfer window, will provide Dean Saunders with vital experience in the second half of the campaign with his ability to play in either fullback position.
On Griffin's signing manager Dean Saunders said:
"He's a good, experienced player who can player left or right back. He talks to the other players and gives them his opinion on how the game is going.
"He found himself without a club and he's signed for us for not a lot of money."
