Rovers Play Practice Game

Rovers Travelled to Manchester United's Carrington Training Ground

Rovers’ players and management travelled today over to Manchester United’s Carrington training ground today to take on a strong reserve side. Brian Flynn had looked to get a game with the team not playing last Saturday due to MK Dons still being in the FA Cup. With Bury coming next Saturday it was important to get all the lads a competitive run out especially Martin Woods coming back from injury. Rovers lost 2-1 with a good individual goal from Kyle Bennett.

Rob Jones “It was a good workout against a good United side, that has helped us with having no game last Saturday.  It was good experience for the young lads Johnny Maxted and Liam Wakefield, who both had good games. Martin Woods got 50 minutes under his belt and came through alright plus Kyle scored a good individual goal from the edge of the box”.
