Doncaster Rovers have rewarded three players from the U16s academy with two year scholarships with Paul Stancliffe’s U18s.
Paul confirmed that twins Jack and Paul McKay have been given Youth Team contracts, for next season, along with winger Matthew Davies.
Speaking to Rovers Player earlier today, Stan spoke about the trio:
“Centre half Paul and centre forward Jack McKay have had to do really well to get where they have done. The progression that they have shown certainly over the last couple of years has been very good – if they can continue that I’m sure they will do very well.”
“We’ve also brought a right winger through called Matthew Davies. He’s a young lad from the Worksop area, who has not been with us that long to be fair, but has shown enough ability so we’re willing to give him a chance and hopefully he’ll back that ability up.”
