#ASKYOURSLOs – The Answers

29 July 2013

SLO's answer your questions on Cash Turnstiles, pyrotechnic devices and Big Screens at the Keepmoat.

Just over a week ago we offered you the opportunity to submit questions on matters relating to you and your match-day experience at the Keepmoat. We have now put these questions to members of staff at the club and would like to share with you some of the questions and answers we received.

Q: Are there currently any plans to install a big screen at the Keepmoat?

A: The club have been looking for opportunities to install a big screen at the Keepmoat.  However, at the current moment the right deal financially is not available. Doncaster Rovers remain committed to improving the match-day experience and as such are installing 20 new 42" Panasonic screens within the stadium concourses, which will be showing club content.  These should be available for the Nottingham Forest game on 21st September.

Q: Will Cash turnstiles be in operation this season at the Keepmoat?

A: After the successful trials held last season and in the pre-season friendly against Motherwell, the club can confirm that supporter will be able to ‘pay on the gate’ for home league fixtures (subject to certain restrictions).

For the 2013/14 season, the club have allocated sections of the Polypipe (South) stand that will be unreserved. The sections allocated are SSA, SSB & SSC rows A-H only. It is important that when using this facility that supporters do not sit outside of the designated areas as the rest of the stadium will be ‘reserved’ seating.

The club have worked with current season ticket holders to create this space on match days. Please help us to ensure that all supporters’ match day experience runs as smoothly as possible by sitting in only the allocated section.

Please note that there is only a limited number of seats available to supporters wishing to pay on the gate and are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. The only way to guarantee yourself entry for a Doncaster Rovers match is to buy a ticket either online, by phone or at the Keepmoat Stadium ticket office.

Q: On the final game of the season against Brentford, I found that supporters using flares really added to the atmosphere and I was wondering if the club would allow the use of flares at the Keepmoat as a visual aid?

A: Doncaster Rovers would like to remind supporters that the use of smoke bombs, flares and other pyrotechnic devices are not allowed in any football league stadia, including the Keepmoat Stadium. During some of our recent away games last season, a number of incidents were reported regarding a minority of Doncaster Rovers supporters using these illegal devices.

The club encourages all Doncaster Rovers supporters, both at home and on the road, to respect fellow fans and to not ruin their match-day experience by bringing flares or smoke bombs to matches.

We hope that supporters find this information useful, and if you have a question you would like the club to answer then please send in your questions atsupporterliaison@doncasterroversfc.co.ukor Tweet us using the hashtag #AskYourSLOs.
