Manager Paul Dickov and his squad of players have this morning travelled to Portugal’s Faro Airport in order to begin their pre-season training camp.
It was an early start for all involved with a 5am check in this morning ahead of the flight from Manchester Airport. The team arrived in Portugal at approximately 10.25am before travelling on to the training camp.
Paul and his management team have put together a plan whereby the players will take part in three training sessions a day as well as a behind closed doors practice match which has been scheduled for Wednesday morning.
We will bring you regular update from the training camp so you can keep up-to-date with progress.
The only player not to travel, who had been expecting to do so, is Marc de Val Fernandez. Marc was substituted in the first half against Motherwell after a hefty challenge left him with suspected damage to his knee ligaments.
Marc has been to have a CT scan earlier today and we are still awaiting the results of that.
