Doncaster Rovers can confirm that Scottish Premier League runners up Motherwell will visit Keepmoat Stadium for a pre-season friendly game.
Having already confirmed various pre-season games away from home the club are delighted to announce this fixture as the first at the Keepmoat under the stewardship of Paul Dickov.
After finishing the league campaign as runners up to Celtic in the SPL, Stuart McCall’s side will compete in next season Europa League and are using the friendly game as a warm up to their European expedition.
Motherwell will join Europe’s elite teams in the competition and Manager Stuart McCall has pin-pointed Rovers as perfect opposition to begin preparations for the tough task.
The game will provide Paul Dickov the opportunity to cast his watchful eyes over his side in what will be their toughest assignment of the pre-season schedule. It will also be the perfect opportunity for
the players to get valuable game time on the newly renovated Keepmoat Stadium pitch.
The game against Motherwell will be played on Saturday 13th July 2013 (3:00pm)
