Chairman’s Gesture To The Happy Couple.

27 June 2013

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Dave Syers has had a year to remember after marrying his long term partner this summer.

Syers enjoyed his best season ever as a professional footballer after helping Rovers achieve promotion back to the Championship in his first season at the club.

No sooner had the celebrations for promotion eased, Syers was walking down the aisle, at St James’ Parish Church in Wetherby, tying the knot to partner Hannah Syers (formerly Bickers).

Chairman John Ryan kindly offered the use of his Bentley, plus driver, for Dave and Hannah’s big day in appreciation of what the midfielder had achieved.

Dave and Hannah’s big day was as special as they had imagined and after the ceremony was concluded the happy couple enjoyed their honeymoon first in the Maldives and then Rome.

After returning back from his honeymoon, Dave expressed his gratitude to Chairman John Ryan for his gesture.

“The gesture from the Chairman, offering his Bentley and his driver, was fantastic.

“Both Hannah and I really appreciate it and it helped make our special day even more special.

“I have to say Matt, the driver, was extremely helpful throughout the date and he helped ensure that the day went off without a hitch.”
