First Friendly Game Announced

Doncaster Rovers will travel to the Coral Windows Stadium to face newly promoted Bradford City in a pre-season friendly game.

Manager Paul Dickov has confirmed the first friendly game of the pre-season schedule will be against League 2 Play Off winners Bradford City at Coral Windows Stadium, Valley Parade on 27th July KO 3pm.


The former club of current Rovers midfielder David Syers was promoted to League One after defeating Northampton Town 3-0 at Wembley. The Bantams finished the regular league season in 7th position and overcame Burton Albion in dramatic fashion in the play-off semi-finals before going onto defeat The Cobblers in the showcase final at the national stadium


Phil Parkinson’s side made history in reaching the Capital One Cup Final conquering the likes of Watford, Wigan Athletic, Aston Villa and Arsenal before falling at the hands of Swansea City at Wembley.
