Rovers Player spoke to Brian Flynn after Rovers’ dramatic victory over AFC Bournemouth this afternoon.
“I thought it was a great game from start to finish. It had a scintillating ending for sure, but it was two good teams battling it out, nothing given and nothing taken and I really enjoyed it.
“I’m delighted we won the game but the game it self was really interesting to be involved in.
“It’s a big win for us at this stage in the season. We played a good team today who gave us serious problems all over the pitch. After a difficult Tuesday night against MK Dons, where we weren’t ourselves, we’ve sorted it out and got the team selection right.”
Rovers conceded a late equaliser after a defensive mistake, however Brian believed that Rovers would have time in the game to rectify that.
“There’s always time; it only takes a second to score a goal so there is always time.
“I’m pleased for young James [Husband] because he’s hit a bit of scoring form now.
“It was a cool finish after we got into a good position which he wasted first time round, but luckily it came back to him and he put it away.”
