Match report from Rovers U18's league match against Bradford City

Scorer: Harry Middleton, 40mins

Rovers started very bright and created several shooting opportunities. After some good interplay Josh Meade put Chris Whincop through but he shot wide. Alex Peterson had 2 opportunities, one was well saved and he mis-kicked the other when he had done well to create the chance. Jordan Binns headed wide from a Finnegan corner and Lewis Ferguson shot for the near post when across the goal would have been a better option.

After a good passing phase from Rovers, Harry Middleton played an interchange with Alex Peterson and Harry side footed pass the advancing keeper to make it 1-0. Bradford pressed for the equaliser before half time but Rovers defence put a stop to whatever Bradford tried.

half saw Rovers have a goal disallowed when Peterson had the ball in the net and a certain penalty was missed by the officials when a Peterson header hit the bar and it looked as though Ferguson was going to tap into an empty net when he was clearly taken out by the defender from behind. Rovers continued their good run staying top of the league having lost only two games so far this season. ndThe 2
