School Ticket Scheme A Big Success

1 March 2013

As Rovers get set for an exciting clash with Hartlepool United tomorrow afternoon, Doncaster Rovers are pleased to announce the game will be watched by a series of potential new young fans.

Doncaster Rovers, Doncaster Rovers Foundation and Kingfisher Primary School have been working in partnership with a new school ticketing incentive that has resulted in an extra 350 tickets being purchased by local families.

The scheme has proved to be a huge success and Doncaster Rovers and the Sports Foundation wish to thank Kingfisher Primary School, and their head teacher, Nathan Atkinson, for their assistance in promoting the scheme amongst schools in the local area.

Head of Marketing, Shaun Lockwood said “Our school ticketing schemes are incredibly important to Doncaster Rovers and help create fans for the future.  We’re delighted that so many children and families in the area will be turning out to watch Rovers against Hartlepool United, where we can hopefully cement our place at the top of the league with another three points.  A big thank you has to go to Nathan Atkinson for his creativity and support in promoting the scheme amongst schools in the area”

In addition to tomorrows school ticket scheme, the Club are also delighted to confirm that a further 100 children will be attending the game tomorrow through local junior football clubs, as group experiences and the Quick Play Cup continue to grow from strength to strength.

The club are also pleased to announce that tomorrows Match day crèche facility courtesy of Minifanz will be provided for free and encourage all families with young children to try the facility.  For details contact minifanz@hotmail.co.uk
