Moment of Magic

2 May 2013

Monday evening was a very special day for Doncaster Rovers. The club hosted the League One Championship Trophy Presentation followed by an open top bus trip around the town.

Captain Rob Jones lifted the trophy in front of over 3000 fans, but for one lucky young girl, Georgia, and her father Matthew Jobson it would be even more memorable.

As part of the clubs ‘In Rovers We Trust’ Moment of Magic initiative Head of Media Steve Uttley singled out the lucky pair, from the gathered crowd, to travel on the open top bus around Doncaster.

The Rovers mad pair were totally in awe and could not believe that they had, had such an honour bestowed upon them. Manager Brian Flynn took time to speak to them and have a photo before the
players mounted the bus making it a day they will never forget.

Matthew Jobson "We still can’t believe what happened. It was an amazing experience to be part of and it was a dream come true.

“This just goes to show that Doncaster Rovers truly is a family club. Acts like this make you proud to be a supporter; and I am.

“I can’t thank the club enough for giving Georgia and I the opportunity to be part of the celebrations. Days like that don’t come round too often and I’m sure we will remember it for the rest of our lives.”
