The loan deadline is fast approaching this morning Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player about loan players coming in.
Paul said; “I have been trying to get some players in before the end of today's loan deadline but so far I have not had any luck. I have been at this for ten days but keep hitting dead ends or such as David Wheater at Bolton who is out of our budget.
"We are light on numbers at the moment and I have been hard at work trying to bring in a left sided defender since we lost James (Husband) and Yun through injury.
"As I have said all along I want players with a bit of experience and quality not just someone to make up the numbers. This could be any position at the minute as we are light all over. I am hopeful that we can get Yun back in a couple of weeks but we have to be careful as we are only allowed to field five loans and Yun would be four, so anyone coming in must be the right player.
“Its really hard to get experienced players out of clubs at the minute as they want them even if not playing every week in case they pick up an injury.
"We could get some of the younger players out of the Premier League reserve sides but they are too much of a unknown quantity at a time we need experience and quality.”
