Rovers Player spoke to Brian Flynn after the Central League game against Hull City.
"It was an excellent game. It was two fairly similar sides in terms of age with a couple of experience players playing. It was a really good and competitive game from both sides who both wanted to go out and win it which was pleasing.
Rovers conceded an early penalty Flynn added; "Many penalties are debatable, which made it a poor start early on in the game but we recovered well. It was probably the best 45 minutes we've played this season, apart from Scunthorpe at home where we scored some goals.
"Generally i was very pleased and the manager was very pleased with the overall performance as well which is always important."
