Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player in the build up to this weekend's clash with high flying QPR.
He said; "It’s a fantastic game against a Premier League side playing in the Championship which will test us but that is what most managers and players want. It will be good for me to test my skills against a top manager Harry Redknapp, who I know well.
"In some ways playing these sides suits us as we seemed to play better against the better sides then struggle against those teams around us in the league. When people write us off, as I bet many are on Saturday, we come out and surprise them by doing well such as against Leicester and Wigan.
"QPR will come here with a wealth of talent and a fantastic manager, who everyone will expecting to win, as they will be challengers at the end of the season for a Premier League place. I want to test myself and any players should want the same.
"What we have to do better than we did last Tuesday is press better and if we do we can get the ball back off top players. We need to press as a unit but it’s been hard to work on it at training because of the injuries but the players should know how to do this by now. We need to be better on the ball as on Tuesday we had more of the ball especially earlier on in the game but it’s the most time in any game we have passed the ball backwards.
"You won't win if all your players keep doing that when they have the ball. We need to get back to getting the ball wide and not passing it back to the keeper all the time.
“We don’t have any new injuries other than Reece (Wabara) who is struggling and we will know more after the scan. He felt it the other night and played through the pain barrier."
