Peterson Reflects On First Team Debut

28 November 2013

Peterson tells Rovers Player about his first team debut after coming on as substitute against Charlton on Tuesday.

Peterson said; "I really enjoyed it. I was a bit nervous before I went on but I think most players are. It was a great feeling to play in front of big crowd with the rest of the lads.

"Once the initial nerves pass it is about getting your head focused, understanding where you have to play and be for example set pieces and knowing your role.

"The last few games I have been on the bench and every time I have been ready and prepared to come on."

Speaking about the step up to the first team Alex added; "It was defiantly different, reserve team football is a difference pace but its nothing like it was against Charlton. When I came on I felt I adjusted to the pace ok, it is a lot quicker, a lot more physical and a lot louder but playing the reserve team games has prepared me for that."
