Ross looks forward to Yeovil

20 November 2013

Rovers official website caught up with Ross Turnbull as he did his programme interview this week at Cantley Park. He looks forward to the Yeovil game this Friday.

“Yeovil are in a similar position to us in this league having been promoted from League One last season. Both clubs are trying to adapt to the Championship with similar budgets as the majority of teams have come into this league after playing in the Premier League at least once over the past ten years. There are a lot of big clubs in this league at the moment, so like us they have to play to their strengths. I am looking forward to playing under the floodlights on Friday night as I hope we have lots of support behind us. This will be a tough game as both sides need the points and both think they can get a positive result.”

Ross explains about playing on live TV. “It’s also on Sky TV so lots of viewers will see it but as a player once you get on the pitch you forget about it.  It’s just a normal game in our eyes and once you walk over the white line you focus on the game. Obviously I got used to the TV because at Chelsea nearly every game was on live somewhere. With all the highlights, goals and analysis on every game at this level its got more of a normal event. It’s nice though to get national exposure to show how we play. The manager will make us look at this as any other game and as players we look at the game as being just another league game to win.”
