Rovers to HELP Samaritans

30 November 2013

Doncaster Samaritans are this year celebrating their 50th Anniversary of their local branch on Thorne Road in Doncaster.

This national organisation was founded 60 years ago, and now operates over 200 branches throughout the country, offering a confidential listening service to millions of individuals every year.

The Samaritans is a registered charity and entirely self-funded by its volunteers and supporters.

Doncaster Rovers are helping the Doncaster branch of the Samaritans to raise awareness of its service at Saturday’s match against QPR at the Keepmoat Stadium. Volunteers from the local branch will be present in the concourses to engage with any supporters who may like to know more about the work of the Samaritans, or to enquire about volunteering to help the Samaritan organisation.

If you are interested in supporting the Doncaster Samaritans in any way you can find more details by contacting doncastersam@hotmail.co.uk .

For confidential support, the local branch of the Samaritans can be contacted on 01302 327474

The Samaritans is a Registered Charity No. 243253
