Belles Boss Sparks Big Interest

23 October 2013

Doncaster Rovers Belles are keen to announce their new manager within the next few weeks and have received interest from abroad, the club have revealed.

The FA Women’s Super League club, who will be plying their trade in the new-look Division Two next year, have been welcoming applications for the vacant spot left by long-serving boss John Buckley.

The club said they have received a lot of interest in the managerial position from both ‘domestically and internationally’.

Julie Chipchase, the club’s newly-appointed director of football and former player-manager, will heading the panel who will be reviewing and interviewing the shortlisted applicants.

On the ideal candidate, Chipchase told Rovers “We want somebody who has experience of the women’s game, a coaching background, someone who can work with elite players and they have to have an FA ‘A’ licence. Once the selection panel has completed the interview process, they will make a recommendation to the club’s board of directors.
