Dickov Disappointed After Defeat

19 October 2013

Rovers Player spoke to Paul Dickov after the defeat to Reading.

“We didn’t start the best today, Reading came out the blocks fast. We made the substitution to change things around and got back in to the game.

“We were a little bit disappointed to go into half time 2-1 down because we created a lot of chances in the last period of the first half.

“Second half we were in the game for long periods, it was pretty even and we felt the longer we stayed in the game we could get an equaliser and go on to get a result.

“Big Rob (Jones) has had to come off injured and we’ve ended up playing against ten men still trying to push for the equaliser but against good teams you can get picked off and that is what happened.

“There was a belief in the changing room at half time that we could get something out the game. At 4-1 it looks like we’ve been battered a little bit but there is no doubt Reading deserved the three points.”
