Paul explained exclusively to Rovers Player why the international break is good for getting the squad back in full fitness after the strains of games coming thick and fast.
Dickov “This international break lets us get on top of the knocks and bumps players get on a weekly basis without chance to get them back fully fit. We have had Reece (Wabara) and Richie (Wellens) both struggling last week so this break gives a chance to get a clean bill of health for the majority of the players.
“The problem injury was James (Husband) who is our only recognised left back, who will now have an operation on Friday for a dislocated shoulder that has resulted in a torn cartilage. We will now look at whether we need to bring someone in on loan for cover but Reece (Wabara) came in Saturday and probably had his best game for us, covered the left back position well.
"When we first signed Reece, I knew he could play in the left side position from when I had him at Oldham and also from watching him play. The more players like this, who can cover other positions when need its better for us."
