Dickov On International Duty

9 October 2013

Rovers have six players on International duty this week for Jamaica, Wales, South Africa, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Manager Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player about players going away with the club having no control of them for the period they are on duty.

“ I have six players going on international duty which is a great honour but also a worry because they are away from us and you have no control over them. They are playing games that are out of our control but it is fantastic recognition for the club and the player. The more you get out there on international duty means that we must be doing things right at this end.

“I’m delighted for Cotts (Cotterill) because he has not been part of the international set up for Wales for a while. He has been working so hard for the team here and although tactically he has been in and out of the team, this will give him a big boost. They must think a lot about David because they have some good players and he is getting his chance to stake a claim to a place with the squad”
