Former Youth Player Starts For Pickering

Former Rovers youth goalkeeper Callum Myers will be between the posts tonight for Pickering Town.



Pickering Town who look to continue their winning run at Glasshoughton Welfare. He replaces their regular keeper Arran Reid, who played in their 3-0 win over Nostell Miners Welfare at the weekend with a broken toe and has to sit out tonight.


Manager Jimmy Reid said of the Scarborough youngster: “We got away with it with Arran on Saturday but I have gone out and signed young Callum Myers.

“He’s a Scarborough lad who was at Leeds until he was 14 and signed up at Doncaster. He has just left Rovers of his own accord and we are going to give him a game. He looks very promising.”


2nd year scholar Callum left Rovers by mutual consent two weeks ago.
