Husband: Rehabilitation Is Long Process

21 October 2013

Rovers Official website caught up with injured defender James Husband after his operation for a dislocated shoulder he picked up against Burnley.

James explains what the damage is. “ I dislocated my shoulder and had operation last Friday. This was to put my shoulder back together and I am told it went well, so I am now trying to recuperate, and then getting it moving better."

Talk us through what actually happened at the game?

"I just fell on my shoulder awkwardly and it popped out of place. Luckily at the time it went back in but when I had a scan a couple of days later it showed I had torn muscles at the front of it, which needed surgery."

How disappointed is it that you are out now after a good start?

“It’s frustrating of course but I am trying to not look at the negatives from it, although it is hard not to. I just want to get back to playing as soon as possible to be honest."

What is the rehabilitation going to be like?

“It’s going to be a long process unfortunately and although I can move it alright now, it’s going to take around 12 weeks from my operation. Alex Dalton has said he will concentrate on keeping my leg strength first."
