Injury Update With Alex Dalton

3 October 2013

Rovers Official Website caught up with Physio Alex Dalton, ahead of the Leicester City game, to find out how the squad are fitness wise.

The Squad

They are all looking good and strong. There are no real fitness issues after the game against Burnley.

Long Term Injuries

Jamie McCombe
Jamie is close to the time when he will come out of his brace, which will hopefully let us start a bit more intense rehab.

Harry Forrester

Harry has a tear to his quad, which is unfortunate after he got back from the ankle injury which is now fully healed.

We are working on him now and hopefully we should have him on the road back soon. He is probably still about four weeks away from getting back to training as he had a two-inch tear to his quad.

The injury is healing nicely now and we are getting a good range of movement back.

It is now about building up the strength and facilitating the healing process.

Marc De Val
Marc has worked hard and is now almost back into training after his knee injury.

He probably has about a week left on rehab before we try and put him back in training.

We will then assess him and evaluate how he progresses with no reactions. We have concentrated on conditioning and general fitness the past couple of weeks as his knee is all healed up.

The torn ligament in his knee is now healed so it’s about getting him fit enough to re join the lads.

He has to get stuck in and have no reservations about tackling because he can get injured again if he does not get involved fully.
