Rovers Player caught up with Rovers No2 keeper Jonathan Maxted after the game against Hartlepool United at Cantley Park in the Central League.
“I think we played really well in the first half but we did not play as well in the second. I thought we could have done a lot better but I felt I made some good saves. It was all about keeping concentration when things are not going your way.
“It’s good they introduced this competition this season to our programme as last season I only played three games but I have already played in more than that. It’s really good for us young lads coming up the ladder to first team football as it gets us experience and shows the gaffer what we can do.
"I am also getting good coaching from Paul Gerrard who will watch me at the games and give me feedback. Working along side Neil Sullivan last season and Ross Turnbull this, who are both top keepers who have played at the highest level helps my development”
