Paul Dickov spoke to Rovers Player after seeing his side well beaten at the Riverside.
How frustrating was that tonight?
“Frustrated, angry because the desire, the work rate, the energy we have shown in games wasn’t there tonight and this is really something that angers me because we pride ourselves on that.
“Middlesbrough wanted it more than us and that is something that hurts and something that I won't accept.
“The boys have been great up to this point but they will see a different side to me now because I won’t accept that performance.
“You give Middlesbrough credit because they played on the front foot and had a good team shape, all the things we’ve been good at recently but the goals were really poor.
“We have had fans who have travelled up here on a Friday night expecting a performance, were live on Sky and it was embarrassing at the end. The last 10 minutes I was embarrassed.
