Hard Work Continues

6 September 2013

Manager Paul Dickov told Rovers Player that although there is no game this weekend due to the international break, the players would still be working hard in training.

Last time out Rovers suffered defeat at he hands of Bournemouth and Paul revealed that although the performance was analysed after the game, it didn’t affect training plans that were already in place.

“After every game my staff and I analyse the previous match with a fine toothcomb,” he said

“We plan sessions well in advance so the training this week is not a knee jerk reaction to the last game.

“This week was planned six weeks ago so we knew what we would be doing and what we wanted the players to do.

“The plan for these two weeks was to allow the whole squad to get to the same fitness level, especially those that had missed pre season.

“I have to admit that we did slightly alter the plan for this week based on the last game but every manager will say training is always subject to change.

“My staff and I are very meticulous in the way we plan training and games with the upcoming games in mind.

“We will make sure that the players get some rest time during these two weeks but when they are at Cantley Park they will be working and working hard.”
