Rovers official website caught up with Spanish midfielder Marc de Val (Fernandez) as he steps up his rehabilitation on the knee injury he suffered in the Motherwell pre season friendly.

Marc made an impressive start to his Rovers career before he was unfortunate to suffer a knee injury whilst contesting a 50/50 challenge against the SPL outfit.

Marc took time out of his schedule to update us on how hiss recovery is going.

“I have started running now which feels good and hopefully I will have no reaction to this as I have been told I may be able to start ball work in two weeks time.

“It has been frustrating watching the lads out there for the games and I really want to be part of it”

Head Physiotherapist Alex Dalton spoke about the plans he has for Marc over the next couple of weeks.

“Marc is coming on well but we don’t want to rush it,” he said

“He has started running which is good progress; he is quite a few weeks off actually playing but I hope to let him start ball work soon, when I feel the time is right.

“He is a good lad and does as he is told but as with all footballers he gets frustrated”
