Paul gives his views on the match this Saturday against Huddersfield
The lads have been bright in training this week and we have worked them hard over the past two weeks because we know we have a tough game Saturday, so need to be fit and ready. It’s good to get a reaction in training but we aim to get a reaction on the pitch on Saturday. We have drawn a line under the last game and you learn from it whether it was a win, draw or loss, by looking forward to the next game at Huddersfield.
Every game in this division is difficult and is hard to predict. You looked at Huddersfield’s form and you would have had them down to win at Barnsley but got beat, which you have to take encouragement from. We know they are a good team with a very good manager, who likes to play football. We know that if we go there and we are disciplined when we don’t have the ball and have the freedom when we do have it we can cause them problems. Huddersfield have had a great start with Mark (Robins) having some very good players in his squad that play good football. We know that in James Vaughan they have the divisions in form striker, so we will have to be on form all over the field but we can’t just concentrate on him as they have good players who can hurt you in other areas. I know Mark will have his side playing good attacking football and will want to get the ball down and play.
Our away form has been good with a good performance at Wigan and at Charlton despite the weather. I believe that if we play like in those two games we can hurt them and cause them all sorts of problems. Against Wigan we were really disciplined off the ball and broke well when we got it, which was very satisfying.
We don’t have any new injury problems with Jamie (McCombe) and Marc (De Val) the only two who have long term injuries which they are on with their rehabilitation.
I am sure that at Huddersfield we will have great support which has been fantastic this season. It really helps the lads when we have good support behind us and we will be aiming to give them something to sing about.
