Rovers Aiming To Prove Point

13 September 2013

Sponsored by

Rovers will be aiming to prove that they are worthy Championship competitors after a fairly stable start to the season following last seasons promotion.

Rovers have accumulated four points from four games, and will now be looking to push on.  They face Huddersfield next, who are coming off a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Barnsley.

It will be a tough game but Rovers will at least be hoping to get on the scoresheet. They have scored first in two of their last three matches, and have been leading at half-time in both these games.

New signing Theo Robinson has made a good start to his Doncaster career by scoring two key goals, one of them in their excellent recent 2-0 win over Blackburn. The Jamaican International appears to be a key man for them this season and will have to contribute his fair share of goals if Rovers are to have a good season. Robinson can be backed at an attractive 7/1 to score first, and 12/5 to score anytime.

Other reasons to bet:

  • Rovers have had under 2.5 goals in two of their last three matches 8/11
  • Rovers have had the same number of goals in each half in two of their last three matches 9/4
