Defender Extends Stay

Wakefield pens year deal.

Liam Wakefield has extended his stay at the Keepmoat Stadium by a further year, the club can reveal.

Defender Wakefield is another graduate of the Doncaster Rovers youth set up and made his first team debut during 2012 against York City in the League Cup.

Wakefield, just 20, made his full League debut on Boxing Day 2013 at home to Ipswich Town and joins Harry Middleton and Alex Peterson in securing their immediate futures with the football club.

Liam will go in to Paul Dickov’s squad for the Yeovil Town game subject to Football League clearance.
