As the UK Jobless rate nears a six year low, Club Doncaster Foundation are delivering a brand new programme working with unemployed adults within the borough to try and increase those figures further.

At the end of the programme participants work towards achieving employment as a match day steward or gaining other skilled employment.

Liam Scully, Chief Executive of Club Doncaster Foundation said, “The programme is designed to help unemployed people gain accredited qualifications and create a platform to build both skills and improve the confidence of participants.

From our pilot cohort 44% have been put forward with job interviews with Doncaster Rovers, whilst another 19% have gained employment within other sectors, we only expect these figures to grow.”

Official figures show that UK unemployment is at close to a six year low of 2.08 million and it is hoped the programme will further help towards reducing unemployment rates within Doncaster.

Anyone interested in being part of our next academy can contact Academy Co-ordinator Sam Parkin on 01302 765890 for more information.
