Foundation Friday: The NCS Show

12 December 2014

Club Doncaster Foundation has delivered NCS to over 500 young people from across a range of schools in the Doncaster area.

NCS (The National Citizen Service) is a fantastic youth engagement programme for all 15-17 year olds across the country. The young people have the opportunity to try new outdoor challenging activities, add some essential development skills to their CV and finally, plan and deliver a social action project within the community.

The NCS participants were invited to the Keepmoat Stadium for a small presentation of their certificates before the game. However, we knew they were more interested and excited about the opportunity to have their photo taken on the pitch at half time of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game vs Notts County.

This was a fantastic opportunity for the young people who took part on NCS and also for Club Doncaster foundation. We could showcase what an incredible programme this is and demonstrate some of the positive outcomes for young people across Doncaster.

Jan Budtz, Social Inclusion officer, noted, "This is a fantastic way to demonstrate the success’ of the young people and also, the wider population of Doncaster will get to know all about this incredible youth engagement programme. "
