Fans meet new Marketing and Communications Manager to canvas opinions on matchday experience.
A Fan Panel representing our supporter groups met this week to discuss touch points around the Doncaster Rovers matchday experience. The panel was Chaired by independent Mark Bradley of The Fan Experience Company and consisted of supporters Wesley Grimes, Neil Taylor, Paul Mayfield, Barry Cunnington, Rob Clark, Derek French and Rob Williams. Also on the panel were three club officials.Mark Bradley said, “The Fan Panel is a vital component of the club’s long-term success and sustainability, as it will create a process through which a representative group of passionate DRFC fans can shape, influence and contribute to the fan experience at Keepmoat Stadium and to other matters affecting them. Fans felt that the ‘In Rovers We Trust’ programme needed to be re-activated somewhat and that was the catalyst of us getting together this week.”
Marketing and Communications Manager Ryan Murrant added, “Since joining earlier this month I have seen the culture that Gavin Baldwin wants here at Keepmoat Stadium. Gavin wants us to make brave decisions to improve our matchday experience, which is fantastic for the club and for the fans. I have been aware of In Rovers We Trust for some time, it’s unique and it’s something that we need to develop.
“The panel were fantastic, energetic and incredibly positive which is what this club is about. I believe that by continuing with the panels on a regular basis and by listening to the fans we can improve things. We all want Keepmoat Stadium to be buzzing on a matchday and to become famous for it’s unique offering and matchday experience. It’s a very exciting time for us all.”
Touch points covered by the panel for development included the matchday atmosphere, making the South Stand an unreserved singing section, incentivising migration to the South Stand and improving the matchday offering to centralise it around Keepmoat Stadium.
The next fan panel is scheduled for Monday 22nd December.
