Rovers Player Statement

1 December 2014

Doncaster Rovers Football Club would like to apologise to subscribers of Rovers Player for the technical difficulties that occurred over the weekend.

All clubs with Player throughout the Football League suffered problems due to issues at service provider PERFORM.

This affected the live commentary of our match with Crewe Alexandra and resulted in the club being unable to upload any videos to Rovers Player until Sunday evening.

Football League director of content Russell Scott said: “Many of you will be aware there has been a significant disruption to the Player service this weekend.

“The problems were a result of PERFORM’s migration to a new data centre on Friday morning.

“The disruption to service impacted all PERFORM platforms worldwide, not just Player.

“I’d like to apologise for the inconvenience these disruptions have caused to fans.

“I’d also like to give assurances that the matter is not closed and once I am in receipt of the full incident report I will decide what action is appropriate.”

Doncaster Rovers will update fans of the outcomes.
