Rover’s striker Billy Paynter has joined League One Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.
Billy has joined his new teammates this morning (Friday) ahead of their trip to Notts County tomorrow (Saturday).United boss Nigel Clough has brought in Billy to boost their quest for goals at Bramall Lane as they look to get over a poor start to this campaign.
Billy will always be remembered for the 2013 Champions team and for the pass that gave James Coppinger the chance to score the winner at Brentford, securing the title for the Rovers. He has found his chances limited this season, so this will give him the chance to play first team football.
