Billy Sharp returns to Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster Rovers can confirm the return of Billy Sharp to the club on loan from Southampton.

In a closely guarded transfer story, Doncaster Rovers manager, Paul Dickov has swooped to bring fans favourite, Sharp, back to Keepmoat Stadium on loan till the end of the season. 

Having left Doncaster Rovers in January 2012 for Southampton, Billy has spent much of the last two years on loan at Championship rivals, Nottingham Forest and Reading, however has never kept secret his desire to one day return to Doncaster Rovers.

The striker, who has scored over 70 goals at Championship level will be a welcome signing for Paul Dickov, as the manager aims to improve the clubs league position.

Billy's first game back at the Keepmoat Stadium is against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday 28th January 2014 and you can buy tickets for the match by clicking here.
